Some of our favorite non-profit organizations are listed below.

We especially recommend supporting The Australian Literacy & Numeracy Foundation and the Fred Hollows Foundation, both of which directly help Aboriginal communities.

We also support Aboriginal culture via direct and indirect purchases of traditional didgeridoos, boomerangs, bull-roarers and other items.

** The Australian Literacy & Numeracy Foundation (alnf.org) - teaching people in remote and marginalized communities how to read and write, opening up a world of opportunities. (Shockingly, 80 percent of indigenous Australian kids living in remote communities cannot read!)

** Fred Hollows Foundation (hollows.org.au) - Tackling the social determinants of poor health in indigenous communities, and supporting the work of Aboriginal-controlled organizations and health services.

Natural Resources Defense Council (nrdc.org) - Safeguarding the Earth, its people, its plants, its animals and its natural systems.

Oceana (oceana.org) - Working to protect all of the world's oceans, and the people and creatures that depend on them.

Rainforest Action Network (ran.org) - Using savvy and hard-hitting market campaigns to align policies of multinational corporations with widespread public support for environmental protection.

Rainforest Alliance (rainforestalliance.org) - Working to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior.
